Local,
regional and national co-operations have a number of benefits that
can work to your advantage. Not only can you get more business, but
you'll be in a position to share market intelligence, jointly lobby
and engage in mutually advantageous chat.
So,
how do you start co-operating? Contact your local tourist board,
contact your local suppliers, contact your local competition, find
out if there are any groups. If there are, join up, if there aren't,
suggest that there should be.
Another
suggestion...you share a really mutual interest with your suppliers
as it's through you (not only to you) that they sell their goods.
The more successful you are, the more successful they are. Choose
one or two and see if you can get a co-operation with them. At first
it may only be in mutual leaflet stocking, but at least you're on
the way!
