Swim with the Kizimkazi Dolphins whole day

Swimming with the Kizimkazi dolphins and being part of their world is a rare privilege, indeed a "dream come true" for many people.

We feel that it is extremely important to approach this potentially life changing experience in a responsible and professional way.

Our unique, dolphin-friendly excursion has been specially prepared by Karin Dedekind and Axel Engman of  PADI - affiliated Mawimbi Watersports to whom the safety and security of both clients AND dolphins is a major priority. All clients are driven to Kizimkazi and are accompanied on the boat and advised, guided and informed of the best way to approach wild dolphins. It is usually possible to have dolphin-contact - even if you can’t swim, and Karin and Axel will make sure that both you and the dolphins have a sensational day!

Price includes: transfers to Kizimkazi, snorkel equipment, lunch, water, and the Menai Bay Conservation fees £40 Departures usually daily. Bookable in advance.

Exotic, historic Stone Town Afternoon

Once one of the richest, most important, and most opulent trading centres in the Indian Ocean. Once capital of the sultanate of Oman, Zanzibar has an extraordinarily colourful and exotic past. Now, a World Heritage Site, Stone Town’s mansions, palaces and trading houses, wonderfully evocative of its colourful past, are being lovingly restored to their former grandeur.

As you wander around Stone Town, through intriguing alleyways dotted with ancient brass-studded mansion doors, carpentry workshops and mysterious antique and curio shops, its history will be brought to life.

You’ll see the colourful, bustling market, Sultan Barghash’s "House of Wonders", the dark brown Arab fort, the seaside Forodhani Gardens, the Hammamni Baths, slave and ivory trader ‘Tippo Tip’s house, David Livingstone’s house, the Sultan of Zanzibar’s palace (now a museum), and many other intriguing places attesting to Zanzibar’s former glory. Fascinating!
