Thursday/Sunday

Travel overnight from UK to Nairobi arriving early next morning or (post Zanzibar extension) fly to Nairobi overnight accommodation included.

Friday/Monday

We’ll leave Nairobi early morning for the journey to Tanzania. We’ll take lunch in Arusha before continuing onto our Sopa lodge in Tarangire National Park.

Saturday/Tuesday

Early morning start for a game drive in Tarangire National Park. Famous for its large herds of elephants, Tarangire is also full of predators. Here you may see wildebeeste, zebra, buffalo, gazelle, hartebeest, giraffe, warthog, eland and onyx,, lion, leopard and python and over 550 recorded varieties of birds including the world’s biggest bird - the stocking-thighed ostrich! Dinner and overnight at the Serengeti Sopa Lodge

Sunday/Wednesday

Possibly the most famous wildlife area in the world, the Serengeti is renowned for its wealth of leopard, lion, cheetah and other predators. Time for breakfast before we take a full day game drive where we’ll see much of the Serengeti’s wealth of wildlife. We'll visit the hippo pool, see the amazingly colourful birdlife, and the abundance of mammals. Dinner and overnight at our Sopa Lodge

 

Monday/Thursday

After breakfast we’ll travel to Gol Koppies.Time now to track big predators. This is the place to see lion and cheetah apart from a wealth of their staple diet-Zebra, Wildebeest and antelopes.

Later we’ll visit Olduvai Gorge "Cradle of mankind". Dinner and overnight at the Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge.

Tuesday/Friday

Called the "8th wonder of the world", this amazing natural amphitheatre is formed by the massive caldera of an enormous extinct volcano. The Ngorogoro crater is dotted with watering holes and shelters almost 30,000 animals.

Here are some of Africa’s most spectacular sights - lion, leopard, cheetah, Black Rhino,  Hartebeeste, gazelle, elephants and an extraordinary birdlife including thousands of  flamingos which cast a pink haze over Lake Magadi.

After an early morning breakfast, we’ll drive down into  the crater to explore this astounding natural phenomenon and discover much of its wildlife. Dinner and overnight at our Lodge.

 

Wednesday/Saturday

Travel to Nairobi for our return flight to the UK (post-Zanzibar Experience)  or overnight at good hotel prior to our return flight to Zanzibar (pre-Zanzibar Experience).

 

All-suite accommodation at Sopa luxury lodges

Each fully-carpeted spacious suite has two queen-sized beds, a fully  equipped bathroom, a lounge with mini-refrigerator and a veranda or balcony from which to enjoy the magnificent scenery. - Return scheduled flights from Zanzibar to Nairobi, airport taxes, transfers, accommodation with full facilities as specified,
